Colossians 2:13-14 says,

"When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross."

Sin caused spiritual and physical death.

Yet God made us alive with Christ.

Jesus' resurrection is our resurrection.

How did this happen?

Because all of our sins were forgiven.

If there is one sin that is not forgiven, then we can't be made alive with Christ.

We would still be dead in our sins.

Notice in the verses above...

The total charge of our legal indebtedness - our charge of guilt for all of our sins was nailed to the cross with Jesus.

Jesus took all of our guilty charges for us.

He paid our sin debt...all of it…in full…it is finished.

The entire sin debt has now been taken away...removed.

Our sins have been forgiven.

We receive God's forgiveness through faith in Jesus.

The resurrected, ascended Jesus said in Acts 26:18 that we receive forgiveness through faith in him.

According to the verses above, not only have all of our sins been forgiven, but we have been made alive with Jesus.

Jesus rose from the dead.

He defeated sin and death in his resurrection.

We have been made alive with Jesus.

The only way we could be made alive is if ALL of our sins are forgiven.

ONE unforgiven sin results in spiritual death.

That is why Jesus died for ALL of our sins.

There are no more of your sins left to be forgiven...they were all nailed to the cross.

If you have placed your faith in Jesus, you have received complete and eternal forgiveness.

Through faith in Jesus, you have been made eternally alive with Jesus in his resurrection.

You have eternal life.

You are forgiven because of Jesus and alive with Jesus.

You are forgiven and alive!
