So many believers are yearning and praying for God to show them his glory, his power.

In worship songs and sermons, they beg God to reveal himself to them.

They cry out to God to move mightily among them.

The wallow in continual confession of sin, telling God how sorry they are, expecting him to move as a result.

They fast, believing God will see their sincerity and commitment and will move on their behalf.

They believe if they yearn deep enough,

...pray powerfully enough,

...sing long enough,

...preach hard enough,

...beg desperately enough,

...cry out passionately enough,

...confess sins sorrowfully enough,

...fast sincerely enough,

then God will reveal himself to them, show them his glory and move mightily among them.

This is so sad.

Heartbreaking.

If they only knew...

God has already revealed his glory and power to them through the gospel of grace given freely to them in Jesus.

He has already moved mightily by bringing grace to them through Jesus.

Once they see the glory and power of his grace given to them in Jesus...

Once they see how God moved mightily in Jesus to bring grace to the them...

Once they see they are not under law, but are under grace...

Once they see they are fully forgiven forever by God...

Once they see they are righteous before God...

Once they see they are innocent before God...

Once they see they are at peace with God...

Once they see they are under no condemnation from God...

Once they see the Ten Commandments are gone and the grace of God has come...

Once they see the Spirit of Jesus lives in their hearts, enabling them to call God Father...

Once they see they are deeply loved children of God...

...yearning for more of God will end,

...crying out in prayer for God to reveal himself and his glory will end,

...singing on and on and on, expecting God to move, will end,

...sermons calling for God to move mightily will end,

...begging for God to move mightily will end,

...confessing of sin for forgiveness so God will move will end,

......fasting to move God will end.

Joy will come.

Peace will come.

Freedom will come.

May the eyes of their hearts be opened to see the riches of God's grace freely, fully, and forever given to them in Jesus.

When they see God's grace, they will see the glory of God, experience the power of God, and see God move in their hearts in a way they never imagined.
