The Absence of Love Produces Anxiety

The first emotion Adam and Eve experienced after they walked away from the love of God was fear.

Though God still loved them deeply, they lived as if they were not loved.

This absence of love in their heart and mind produced fear, worry, stress, and anxiety.

After Adam sinned, he and Eve hid from God.

They hid from love.

God asked Adam, "Where are you?"

Adam Replied, "I heard you in the garden, and I WAS AFRAID because I was naked; so I hid."

Fear, rather than love, filled the heart and mind of Adam and Eve.

This fear has flowed through the human race ever since.

Fear has many faces.

It starts with worry then progressively moves to stress, anxiety, and panic.

Fear is living as if we are not loved by God.

Many of us battle fear.

It consumes us.

The solution to fear is living in the conscious awareness of God's love.

It is knowing we are loved by God and trusting in his love.

Jesus, in his final days on earth, said the Father loves each of us just as he loves Jesus, and the love the Father has for Jesus would be in us (John 17:20-26).

Romans 5:5 says God has poured his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit.

The Spirit of Jesus in us enables us to call God "Abba, (Daddy, Papa) Father" (Galatians 4:4-6).

As we experience this love relationship with the Father, just as Jesus did, the Spirit produces within us love, joy, and peace (Galatians 5:22).

Love produces peace and joy within our hearts and dispels fear.

The mission of Jesus on earth was to reconcile us to God.

To bring us back into a love relationship with the Father.

In this love relationship, the Father's love indwells us, so rather than fear filling our hearts, peace fills our hearts as we live in the awareness of the Father's love.
