The Grace Exchange

Your guilt was charged against Jesus.

All of it.

Yes...all of it!

Jesus took all of your guilt upon himself the day he died for your sins on the cross and he gave you all of his innocence the day you placed your faith in him.

This is the great exchange...or as I like to call it, the grace exchange!

It is the day when Jesus exchanged his innocence for your guilt when he died for you on the cross.

It is the day when you exchanged your guilt for his innocence when you placed your faith in him.

Romans 8:31-34 teaches that no charge can be made against those whom God has justified.

"What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us."

Possibly, you have lived many days overwhelmed with guilt.

But today, God is overwhelming you with his grace, leading you to freedom.

He says you are “not guilty.”

He calls you innocent.

Believe this truth of grace.

You are innocent before God of any charge of sin that could be made against you.

All of your sins were fully charged against Jesus.

All of his innocence was freely given to you.

This is the grace exchange!
