The Great City of Grace, The New Jerusalem - Healing For the Nations

Revelation 21:1-4 records the heavenly city of the new Jerusalem coming from heaven to earth.

This city is the new covenant/testament city of grace consisting of believers all over the world.

(See Galatians 4:21-26; Hebrews 12:22-24)

From this city, grace flows to the nations of the world.

Revelation 22:1-2 says,

“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.”

God’s grace is all that God has kindly and freely given to us in Jesus for our individual salvation and for the restoration of the nations of the world (Ephesians 2:1-10; Galatians 3).

God’s grace is received through faith in Jesus.

Those who trust in Jesus become a part of this Great City of Grace, the New Jerusalem.

From this Great City of Grace, the New Jerusalem, grace flows through believers to heal the nations of the world.
