The Two Witnesses of Revelation 11

Based upon Revelation 11:19 and 15:5 (the law being seen in heaven prior to the judgments of the law being poured upon Christ-rejecting Israel in the first-century), it is my belief the two witnesses were prophesying against first-century, unbelieving Israel for their violations against the law, including rejecting Jesus as the Christ and killing their fellow Jews who believed he was the Christ.

The Jewish unbelievers were being warned by the two witnesses that the desolation of Jerusalem was soon to come, just as Jesus warned Israel of the desolation of Jerusalem that was to come (Matthew 23:38-39).

The two witnesses were showing from the law and prophets Jesus is the Christ, and if the people of Israel turn to him in faith, they would be saved from the coming judgment on the people, Jerusalem, and the temple (AD 70).

If they didn't, they would be judged when the Roman armies destroyed the land, city, and temple - just as Jesus said in Luke 21:20.

Read more about the two witnesses in my book on Revelation - Volume 1: Judgment On First Century Israel, due out May 2025. Check Here to see if it has been published at this time.

Volumes 2: War On The Saints, will be out late Fall of 2025, and Volume 3: The New Heaven and The New Earth, will be out Spring of 2026.
